2047 Lumora Infrared Sauna

We didn’t buy the Lumora because it was the cheapest sauna. We bought it because after comparing everything, it seemed like the least compromised option for the money.

It’s compact enough for our home gym, two of us can comfortably use it, no major electrical work was required and the running cost is much lower than we expected. After several months the timber still looks excellent and we haven’t had any mould or maintenance issues.

2047 also handled the installation and has been responsive whenever we’ve had questions. When you include all of that, we think it represents really good value.

I spent quite a bit of time comparing different sauna options and realised very quickly that looking at the advertised price alone is misleading.

With a traditional sauna I had to think about dedicated electrical supply, electrician cost, installation and whether my existing room was suitable. With some cheaper infrared options, the concern was warranty and who would actually repair it locally if anything failed.

The Lumora Duo from 2047 ended up being the best overall value for us. It runs from our existing power point, the installation was handled by their team, the Canadian hemlock and overall build quality are very good, and we have proper local after-sales support.

My wife and I use it around four times a week now, so the fact that electricity is also inexpensive makes it even better long term.

I initially compared 2047 with cheaper infrared saunas online and couldn't immediately understand the difference.

After speaking to them, what convinced me was more about the whole package Canadian hemlock cabin, proper ventilation, normal household power requirement, local installation and someone in Singapore to service it later.

Few months into ownership and I think we made the right choice. Timber still perfect despite heavy use, no moisture/mould problems and running costs are low enough that we don't even think twice about turning it on.

I use mine almost daily after gym. Canadian hemlock has held up very well despite me sweating like mad in there 😂 No mould, no swelling, no issues with the panels so far.

Running cost also pleasantly surprised me. I assumed having a sauna at home would noticeably increase utilities but honestly I barely noticed the difference. For how often I use it, it's very cheap to run.

We researched quite a bit before choosing 2047 because a sauna isn't something we wanted to replace after two years. Their team specifically explained why the Lumora uses Canadian hemlock, how the ventilation helps in Singapore's humidity and what the actual power consumption would be.

We've owned it long enough now to say the quality is genuinely good. No mould, no warping or strange smells, and the cabin still looks very fresh. We use it 4 times a week and electricity has been surprisingly inexpensive. It also gets much hotter than the 60°C specification made us expect.

Overall 2047 seems to have thought quite carefully about what actually matters when you own one of these at home.
